The two men, who have signed confessions that they slayed Albert Couvillion retired naval officer of Melville, and raped his woman companion, were to have been arraigned yesterday. One of the attorneys appointed by the court, L. Austin Fontenot, was not present, however, and a fourth attorney was appointed yesterday, Robert F.

Dejean. The arraignment WAs then fixed for tomorrow. Other attorneys apointed by the court, since the men are without counsel, are A. V. Pavy and Felix A.

Dejean Jr. Under law, the men must be arraigned and must plead not guilty, since a guilty plea cannot be entered in a capital offense, Trial date has not been fixedi yet. First week of criminal court begins Monday. Bandits Rob Abbeville Night Club Abbeville, La. (UP) Two bandits held up the Club Forest early today, fired two shots to show that they "meant business" and escaped with $3,000 from dice tables, customers' pockets and the owner's office.

The bandits, both masked and carrying pistols, even stole the car they escaped in at the club. They made a customer hand them his ignition keys and then lead them to where he had parked his automobile. They walked into the club, about three miles from Abbeville, at 12:30 a.m. and ordered about 20 customers at the bar and gaming tables to lie on the floor. A few customers hesitated.

One bandit shot into the ceiling and said: "Drop to the floor. (See number 2 back page) Louis A. Delouche, 64-year old jeweler of Washington, died at 7:10 o'clock this morning, and funeral services will be held at 9 a. tomorrow at the Washington Catholic church. Mr.

Delouche, a native of Cloutierville, had operated a jewelry and watchmaking business in Washington for a number of years. The funeral will be held from the First National home here, and interment will be in the Cedar Hill cemetery in Washington. Mr. Delouche is survived by his wife, the former Mary Bidstrup, of Washington; two daughters, Mrs. J.

J. Simkins, Shreveport, and Miss Laura Lou Delouche, Washington; a sister, Mrs. W. G. Williams, Crane, and two brothers, R.

T. and Albert both of Cloutierville. Louis A. Delouche Dies In Washington Red Contempt Fine High Court Upholds Washington (UP) The U. S.

Court of Appeals upheld the contempt of congress conviction of Eugene Dennis, general secretary of the communist party. Dennis was convicted by a federal court jury in June, 1947, for failing to appear before the house unAmerican activities committee the previous April in answer to a subpoena. Mrs. A. Boudreaux Dies In Leonville, Rites Are Today Mrs.

Adia M. Boudreaux of Leonville died at her home there at 11:45 a.m. yesterday, at the age of 91 years, and funeral services were to be held at 2 o'clock this afternoon. The funeral was to proceed from the residence of St. Leo's Catholic churchk, and interment was in the adjoining cemetery, under the direction of First National funeral home.

Mrs. Boudreaux was widely known throughout St. Landry parish. She was the mother of Mrs. C.

C. Chaisson of Leonville and Mrs. Lee Mallet of Opelousas. Four sons survive, Oleus Boudreaux, Arnaudville; Treville, Rebis and Albert Boudreaux, all of Leonville. She leaves 31 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Says U.S. Backed Nazi Attack Vinshisky Austin Exchange Bitterest Words Yet At UN Paris (UP) Andrei ishinsky of Russia charged today that the western powers tried to get Nazi Germany to attack Russia in 1939, and threatened to prove it "if you force me to lay all my cards on the table." Vishinsky spoke in the political committee of the United Nations. It had just heard a United States proclamation of intentions to speed a rearmament program to stop the "heavy hand of Russia's constant drive for world power." Warren Austin of the United States and Vishinsky exchanged some of the bitterest words yet spoken in the UN councils during the debate on a Soviet proposal for big five disarmament by onethird within a year.

C. L. Mengis respectively, took over command of the Opelousas American Legion Post 45 and its auxiliary during joint installation ceremonies held during a banquet last night at Club St. Landry. Some 75 members attended.

Louisiana Commander Robert Browne, of Lafayette, installed Commander Brown and other post officers while Mrs. Cleo Wilbur, auxiliary district president, installed Mrs. Mengis and auxiliary officers. (See number 3 back page) Health Workers To Gather Here, Talk On Leprosy Seventy-five to 100 public health physicians, nurses, sanitarians and clerks will convene here tomerrow for a quarterly meeting of the Southwest Louisiana region, and the principal address will be made by Dr. Erickson of the staff of the U.

S. Marine hospital at Carville, on "Hansen's or leprosy. Dr. Erickson's talk will be made during a general meting in the court room, at 11 a.m. and the public is urged to attend, Dr.

C. L. Mengis, parish health unit director, announced. Dr. Kendrick Taylor of Jennings, director of the Jeff Davis health unit will preside.
